Western North Carolina is a special place to me. My hometown sits in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and it is one of the many small towns that were so heavily impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Over the past week I’ve watched friends and family share stories and post videos of the devastation.
There was so much loss. Roads, businesses, homes, farms, entire communities, pets, and people are simply gone. One week later rescue efforts are still going on to reach people who are stranded in inaccessible areas. It is heartbreaking.
All proceeds of the sale of this print will go to the NC Disaster Relief Fund/United Way.
